Martin took the message: “Martin, we must secure the Western Road from the elf lands all the way to Krondor. Increasing complaints have come in about travelers being ambushed by bandits, deserters, and in your region even hellfiends and goblins. Now that, in our joint war against the Tsurans, we have established friendlier relations with the elves and dwarves, it’s important to keep this alliance safe. After the war ended, we relaxed protection on this route somewhat. Send detachments from the west, and I will send more from Krondor to you. Once we clear the road, we will build several watchtowers for its permanent defense.”

The warriors of the Kingdom, and especially our adventurers, managed to prevent several goblin packs from joining forces with the hellmores. Yet, robberies and pillaging of smaller settlements in the north continue. Scouts from La-Mutu and Kasumi’s trackers have been unable to uncover the paths the goblins use through the Yabon Forest. Lord Vandros is now in La-Mutu addressing the situation and calls upon brave souls to explore.
This is a permanent quest available from level 25 (consider carefully whether your class and level are ready to take it on).

Goblin Migration — Where and Why?
For a whole year, Lyam and his entourage visited eastern lords and neighboring kings. Now, they were finally heading home...
"There is a matter Your Majesty should hear today."
Lyam gestured for Caldric to continue.
"The border barons and Duke Vandros of Yabon report a large movement of goblins from the area between Tyr-Sog and the Azure Lake. Goblin packs are clearly marching northward and occasionally pillaging villages they encounter."
"North?" Martin looked at Arutha. "Could it be that they want to join forces with the hellmores, or were they summoned? Goblins have long served the hellmores."
Lyam declared, "Arutha, we leave it to you and Martin to decide what needs to be done in the West."
"Martin, send your men or adventurers into the region to protect the villages and eliminate as many goblins as possible." Arutha ordered.

Each new candidate with a courageous heart and determination to defend our land shall receive, for 3 seals, if they so wish, the cloak of the ‘Western Company’ as a token of their deeds — for this, I commission our guide Zentin.

Peace has come.
Elves: Tomas, after marrying Queen Aglaranna, renounced all claims to the throne and inheritance, thus preventing conflict among the elves. Prince Calin, heir to the elven throne, acknowledged this as very wise and declared:
“Let it be known what has been true for years. Tomas is the Duke of Elvandar and holds the title of prince, consort to the queen. His words must be obeyed by all except the queen herself. So have I spoken, Calin.”
Dwarves: They have no king currently, although Dolgan would not refuse the role if all clans agreed to it.
Island Kingdom: Martin renounced his claim to the throne and passed the crown to Lyam. Prince Erland did not survive imprisonment by Guy du Bas-Tyra. Lyam appointed Arutha as Prince of Krondor. Martin paled strongly when Lyam named him Duke of Crydee, but eventually accepted.
